By testing the coefficient of friction (COF) in packaging materials, you can anticipate problems in optimizing packaging performance and handling and storing packaging.

COF is determined by dividing the force required to move one surface over another by the force perpendicular to the surfaces. COF values range from 0.00-1.00, and lower COF values mean less resistance to slip or higher "slip".

COF =<0.25, LOW COF is considered HIGH SLIP.
COF =>0.45, HIGH COF indicates LOW / NO SLIP.
