The "Determination of Inner Polish Integrity" on packaging bodies is carried out with enamel grading. With this method, which is used to detect metal exposure in packages beforehand, quality and performance evaluation can be made.
Enamel grading is a standardized test procedure used to determine the integrity of enamel and protective varnish applied on metal packaging. Determination of varnish integrity is performed using an electronic indicator plus a device that holds the product and connects it to the indicator.
The reason for the determination of varnish integrity; If the inner coating of a can is not adequately applied, some areas of the metal substrate will be exposed to the contents of the can and depending on the product to be stored can cause metal corrosion and contamination of the contents.
"Determination of Internal Polish Integrity", also called Metal Exposure Test, is one of the important test parameters performed on metal packages.
