General Migration (Aqueous Simulation) Analysis

General Migration (Aqueous Simulation) Analysis

For foods packaged using plastic materials and materials, a food-like substance is used to determine the overall migration. Simulants A, B and C are preferred for the detection of general migration of food varieties, including aqueous, acidic and alcoholic foods.

- Simulant A – 10 percent ethanol (v/v)
- Simulant B – 3 percent acetic acid (w/v)
- Simulant C – 20 percent ethanol (v/v)

Foods in which general migration is detected by Juicy Simulation can be listed as follows.
- Fruit juices and nectars and soft drinks containing fruit pulp, musts containing fruit pulp, liquid chocolate
- Alcoholic beverages with an alcoholic strength between 6 and 20% by volume
- Confectionery products: In paste form: Moist
- Sugar and sugar products: Molasses, sugar syrups, honey and the like
- Purees, canned Fruits in paste or in their own juice or sugar syrup form (jam, compote and similar products)
- Nuts (peanuts, chestnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, pine nuts and others): In paste or cream form
- Processed vegetables: Fresh vegetables, peeled or cut
- Processed vegetables: Pureed, canned, mashed or self-contained vegetables (including pickled and pickled)
- Processed vegetables: In an oily environment
- Fresh, chilled, processed, salted or smoked including fish eggs
- Crustaceans and molluscs (including oysters, mussels, snails): Fresh, chilled, processed, salted or smoked including fish eggs
- Preserved fish : In an oily environment
- Groats removed, processed, preserved or cooked with the shell: In an oily environment
- Meats of all zoological species (including poultry and game): Fresh, chilled, salted, smoked
- Meats of all zoological species (including poultry and game): Processed meat products (such as ham, salami, bacon, sausages and others) or in paste, cream form
- Meats of all zoological species (poultry and including game animals): Meat products marinated in an oily environment
- Preserved meat: In a fatty or oily environment
- Fermented milk and similar products such as yogurt, ayran
- Cream and sour cream
- Processed cheese (soft cheese, cottage cheese and similar)
