How to Choose Appropriate Packaging?

The common point for products produced in different sectors is that the packaging materials used are appropriate. Packaging materials and conditions of all products in food, water, electronics, industrial and medical fields must be different and suitable for the product.

A product package should have features that will protect the product both in storage areas, during transportation and in the process until the expiry date. In general, the features that a package should have are as follows:

- It should prevent losses that may occur by leakage, deterioration or penetration of the product.
- It should protect the product from ambient conditions such as light, air and humidity during the storage process.
- It should not have gas permeability depending on the product's properties.
- It should be resistant to shocks such as impacts and falls that may occur during transportation.
- Packaging material should be chosen from material that will not interact with the product.
- Packaging material should protect the product from microorganisms such as mold and bacteria.
- Packaging material should be selected from airtight material according to product characteristics.
