One of the practical ways to evaluate packaging packages for large leaks is the "Internal Pressurization" test method. This test method is mostly used for large and long packages.
It is used to detect holes and leaks in the bottom layers of packaging. Generally, it is a test method used for the evaluation of packaging integrity. Package integrity is an important issue, especially for heat-sealed packages that are packaged sterile, which should not be exposed to contamination.
Test scope: Detection of large leaks in packages. The sensitivity of this test method, used for plastic heat-seal packaging, is as low as 250 μm (0.010 inch) with 81% probability.
