Coefficient of Friction (CoF) Test, which is performed to measure static and kinetic friction values, is one of the tests performed to determine the quality of the final product. Coefficient of Friction (CoF) is routinely determined by tests on materials such as plastic films and fiber cardboard containers.
It is aimed to prevent the problems that may occur in the processes of creating, filling, transporting and storing the packages with the determination of the coefficient of friction (CoF). The CoF can be determined under the ASTM D1894 standard, which is used to determine the friction of plastic film and coating.
The Coefficient of Friction (CoF) Test determines the kinetic (moving) and static (initial) resistance of one surface as it is dragged towards another. Both static and kinetic friction coefficients can be determined. Coefficient of Friction (CoF) Test can be performed on plastic and paper packages.
