ISO 12048

ISO 12048 standard covers the test methods applied to test the compression resistance and stacking of completed and filled transport packages.

Within the scope of the ISO 12048 standard, it is applied to evaluate the performance of a package in terms of its strength or the protection it offers to its contents when subjected to compression forces. It is carried out in order to detect the possibility of deformation, collapse and deterioration that may occur during storage or transportation processes and to determine whether the content can be preserved or not.

ISO 12048 can also be used as a stacking test to investigate performance under certain loading conditions.
