ISO 13355

Packaging — Complete, filled shipping packages and unit loads — Vertical random vibration testing

ISO 13355

ISO 13355 is a standard based on simulating vibration to which products are exposed during transportation. In general, it is a more realistic testing system than sinusoidal vibration testing.

Packages tested within the scope of this standard are also evaluated in terms of protection and strength depending on the test results.

Standards referred to within the scope of the standard:

• ISO 2206 , Packaging - Complete, filled transport packages - Identification of parts during testing
• ISO 2233 , Packaging - Complete, filled transport packages and unit loads - Conditioning for testing
• ISO 2234 , Packaging - Complete, filled transport packages and unit loads - Stacking tests using static charges
• ISO 2247 , Packaging - Complete, filled transport packages and unit loads - Constant low frequency vibration tests
• ISO 4180:2009 , Packaging - Complete, filled transport packages - General guidelines for compiling performance test programs
• ISO 8318 , Packaging - Complete, filled transport packages and unit loads - Sinoidal vibration tests using variable frequency
• IEC 60068-2-64, Environmental testing - Part 2-64: Tests - Test Fh: Vibration, broadband random and guidance
