When choosing a packaging material, its resistance to environmental conditions is one of the important factors. One of the tests and analyzes that a package must pass before use is Environmental Tests. Packaging materials may deform and be adversely affected at different temperatures. For example; While paper materials are easily affected by the humid environment, plastic materials are affected at high temperatures.

With Environmental Tests on Packages, the package is kept at certain temperatures for a certain period of time and evaluated at the end of the period in environments created according to the conditions specified in the relevant standards or specific to the environment in which the package will be used. Environmental Tests on Packages are carried out in environmental test cabinets between -70ºC and 125ºC.

Environmental Tests on Packages should be carried out in authorized and specialized laboratories in order to select the packaging and determine its suitability for the area of use.
